After more than 40 years in the life of Swedish jazz, the alto saxophonist Lars-Göran Ulander makes his debut with a release in his own name. In free titles his solos circulate hungry and keen around themes and phrases. Flows of short tones create inviting fabrics of open and vital jazz. He is backed up by the bassist Palle Danielsson and the drummer Paal Nilssen-Love and the result is brilliant.
