All sorts of jazz, free jazz and improv. Never for money, always for love.
In connection with the concert by Lars-Göran Ulander Trio tonight at the
Museum of Art in Norrköping, there is a release of a new CD by this musician's
rare recordings.
It is a live recording from the water hole of the free jazz scene in Stockholm
- Glenn Miller Café - made in August 2004.
Ulander plays inspired and full of energy on his alto saxophone and gets
a brilliant support from top musicians Palle Danielsson on bass and Paal
Nilssen-Love from Norway on drums (is there any better drummer in Scandinavia?).
The trio improvise through some original titles - best is "Ionizaacion-variaciones
E.V." and Charles Mingus´ "What Love".
