All sorts of jazz, free jazz and improv. Never for money, always for love.
I remember drummer Laurence Cook for his work with Bill Dixon in the ‘80s and his occasional meetings with Paul Flaherty in the ‘90s. However, I don’t think I ever crossed keyboardist Eric Zinman before. This duo CD features energetic improvised music, inspired by jazz but quite remote from jazz, and not without humour. Zinman turns the electric piano into a surprising weapon worthy of the free improvising ring.
